Ralph Winnie, Jr. Hosted a Private Cocktail Reception on October 4, 2010 at the National Press Club

Ralph Winnie Jr., Vice-President of Global Business Development for the Eurasian Business Coalition, hosted a private cocktail reception on October 4, 2010 at the National Press Club with the CEO of Huamei Consulting Company Limited, Wang Ruopeng, his associate Jack Bai and the Ambassador of Malta to Washington, D.C., Mark Miceli and his Deputy Chief of Mission, Dennis Grech. Ambassador Miceli and DCM Grech discussed the strong cultural and educational ties that exist between Malta and the People's Republic of China as well as the profitable opportunities available in Malta for Chinese investment.  He authored an article which has appeared in the Washington Post in the December 19, 2010 edition titled, "Closer to China".  On June 24, 2010, Ralph's article "New Silicon Valley" appeared in the Washington Post Russia Now and in August 2010, Ralphs article "The Endless Summer" appeared in the publication.  His article, "Joining Club WTO, Seventeen Years on" appeared in the Washington Post Russia Now on December 14, 2010.  Ralph created a blog talk radio "Backroom Politics" which launched in November 2010 (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/backroompolitics).  The radio show airs on Tuesdays, from 4 to 6 p.m.  In January 2011, Ralph wrote about President Hu Jinato's Last Speech in Washington.  In February, 2011 Ralph was interviewed in a piece that appeared on CCTV.  Ralph authored an article published in the Diplomatic Courier, a global affairs magazine on February 16, 2012 titled "Getting to Know You:  Mr. Xi Comes to Washington."  The article explores a major policy speech in Washington DC on 2/15, China's vice president outlined his vision of the future of the U.S.-China relationship.  The First Congress Society (wwww/firstcongress.org), a non-partisan organization, formed in fall 2010 by individuals with experience in all aspects of American government, the private sector, and international policy, will work to create positive change in our country's current political environment.  The Society launched in February 2011 and Ralph is one of the founding members.  Ralph also spoke at the ALM's 10th Annual GAS Shales Summit, June 7-8, 2011 in Fort Worth Texas about China's Energy Investment Strategy in Gas Shales.  Ralph wrote an article, "French Diplomacy as it Evolves From the G8 Forward to the G20"which appeared in the June 2011 edition of the Diplomatic Courier, a Global Affairs magazine.  Articles "China's Plans for a Sustainable Energy" (April 2011) and "Dynamic Change in China and Russia's Military Diplomacy" (May 2011) written by Ralph,  were also published in the Diplomatic Courier.  In On October24, 2011, Ralph was a speaker at the Kennan's Institute.  The topic was Privatization in the Russian Federation:  The Rise of Market-Based Systems in Modern Russia. (have photo from this).   Ralph was also on CCTV the weekend of December 17, 2011 about the U.S. Travel industry calls for more Visas for Chinese - Ralph Winnie Jr, China Program director in Eurasia Center, said: "There are a lot of success stories of US and Chinese companies that have been able to partner together. And that really needs to be the focus and we really need to make it easier to streamline the visa process."  In December 2011, Ralph had the privilege of speaking with Senator Richard Lugar at the annual breakfast sponsored by Republicans Abroad in Washington, D.C.  As an international lawyer with an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Winnie, Jr. asked Senator Lugar to discuss the benefits and rationale of taxing Americans living and working abroad under the Worldwide System of Taxation, as opposed to the Territorial Method of Taxation used by the majority of countries to tax their citizens, in order to effectively promote business development, tax and trade between the United States and foreign countries.  On March 28, 2012, Ralph was interviewed on Republicans Abroad Radio.  In May 2012, Ralph's article on shale gas appeared in the China Green Tech Issue Magazine.   Also, in May 2012, Ralph has been selected to be a Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.  Ralph was selected based on his continued commitment to Mitt Romney and for taking the time to fill out the Delegate Selection Form.  Ralph spoke with Talkdown Radio in May 2012 - What does wrestling have to do with international relations, finance and public discourse?  Ralph's answer "wrestling helps us understand, compete and relate with other nations like China and Russia".  He believes that wrestling and international relations go hand in hand.  Ralph was interviewed on CCTV news on May 29, 2012 Biz Asia America.
